About AuSome Kids TV
AuSome Kids TV is a shortcut through YouTube. It gathers videos that speech-language pathologists, autism clinics and educators commonly recommend for communication and language development, and organises them by the technique they teach — so a parent looking for help at 11pm doesn't have to work out which of ten thousand results is worth their time.
What this site is not
It is not therapy, and it is not a treatment plan. Watching videos is not a substitute for an assessment by a licensed speech-language pathologist, developmental paediatrician, or other qualified professional. If you have concerns about your child's communication, an evaluation is the thing that helps most, and earlier is better than later.
It is not a clinical review. We did not make these videos, we do not test them, and we cannot vouch for the clinical accuracy of anything a third-party creator says in one. Being listed here means the video or its creator is widely recommended in the autism and speech-therapy community — it does not mean any claim in it has been verified. Bring anything that surprises you to your child's therapist rather than acting on it alone.
It is not a diagnosis tool, and nothing here can tell you whether your child is autistic or where their communication "should" be. Children arrive at language on wildly different timelines.
It is not a screen-time recommendation. These videos are meant to be watched with an adult, in short stretches, and repeated off-screen in ordinary moments. That is where the benefit actually comes from.
How videos are chosen
Entries come from channels and videos repeatedly recommended by practising SLPs, autism clinics and special-education teachers. Each one is placed in the category matching the technique it demonstrates, with a plain-language note on what that technique is for.
Where a channel is clearly worth watching but no specific video has been chosen and checked by a person yet, the entry says so plainly and links out to the channel instead of embedding something. We would rather show an obvious gap than a confident guess.
The creators
Every video plays through YouTube's own embedded player, from the creator's own channel. Nothing is downloaded, re-uploaded or re-hosted here, views still count on their channel, and this site earns nothing from any of it — there are no ads, no affiliate links and nothing for sale. If a creator would prefer not to be listed, that request will be honoured; the entry will simply be removed.
Privacy — what we collect
Nothing. This is not a policy promise, it is how the site is built.
- No accounts, no logins, no profiles.
- No forms of any kind — there is nowhere to type anything.
- No analytics, no advertising pixels, no session recording, no A/B testing.
- No cookies set by this site, and no fonts loaded from anyone else's server.
- No comments, ratings or uploads — there is no way for a visitor to leave anything behind.
Because a child could plausibly land on this site, that is deliberate rather than incidental. The site is a set of static files with no database and nowhere to send personal information.
The one exception, stated plainly
Videos are hosted by YouTube, and YouTube is Google. Two things follow from that, and it is worth being precise about both rather than claiming more than is true.
Before you press play: no video player is loaded, so nothing can track you across the page or autoplay at your child. The page does load each video's thumbnail image from YouTube's image server, which means that server sees your IP address — the same as any image loaded from elsewhere on the web. We ask it not to be told which page you were on, and it cannot set a cookie on an image request, but we would rather say this outright than claim contact with Google is zero.
Once you press play: the player loads from
youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode,
and from that point YouTube's own terms and privacy policy govern the playback — exactly as
they would if you had opened the video on YouTube yourself.
Language
This site says "autistic child" rather than "child with autism", because that is the wording most autistic adults ask for. It talks about communication rather than "fixing" speech, because a child who signs, or uses a device, or points at a picture card is communicating — spoken words are one route to that, not the only acceptable one.
Keeping this site running
A domain and hosting cost a small amount each year. There are no ads here, nothing is for sale, no data is collected or sold, and no money is made from the videos — the creators earn on their own channels, and none of that comes through here.
The site is free and stays free, whether or not anyone ever chips in. Nothing is behind a payment, and nothing is held back.
This opens Ko-fi in a new tab, and payment happens entirely on their site — no card details are ever entered here or seen by this site. Once you are on Ko-fi, their terms, privacy policy and cookies apply, not ours.
If something here is wrong
A broken link, a video that no longer matches its description, a creator who wants an entry removed, or a technique described in a way a clinician would object to — all of these are worth flagging, and all of them will be fixed.
Email admin@ausomekidstv.com and it will be looked at. Creators asking to have their work removed will always be taken at their word — no justification needed, and the entry simply goes.
Writing to that address means your email reaches an ordinary inbox, the same as any message you send. Nothing you write is stored on this website, because this website has nowhere to store it.
